United Airlines has introduced a three-times weekly cargo service between Rome Fiumicino and its New York/Newark hub. Operated with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, the flights will carry a range of commodities in both the passenger cabin and the belly of the aircraft, including general cargo, temperature-controlled goods and textiles, as well as pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, manufactured by both Italian and Italy-based multinational companies.

United offers a comprehensive European network of cargo flights to the USA, including from Frankfurt/Germany, Amsterdam/Netherlands, Brussels/Belgium, London/United Kingdom, Dublin/Ireland, Zurich/Switzerland and now additionally from Italy."United's cargo-only network currently offers services between six of its U.S. hubs and 18 airports worldwide. Since the start of its cargo-only flights programme on 19 March 2020, United has operated over 1,300 cargo-only flights transporting over 44 million pounds of cargo.
