United Airlines’ customers flying from Edinburgh Airport today were treated to a surprise Highland fling with a modern twist from Whisky Kiss, as the airline celebrated two milestone anniversaries.The airline is marking 15 years of flying non-stop from Edinburgh to its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and 5 years to its hometown hub at Chicago O’Hare Airport.
Since their original launch, the two services have carried a total of over 2.2 million customers on more than 15,000 flights.“We are extremely proud to mark these two important anniversaries here in Edinburgh – 15 years of flying nonstop to New York and 5 years to Chicago,” said Bob Schumacher, United Managing Director Sales UK and Ireland.
