United Airlines today announced a new three-times weekly nonstop seasonal service between Malaga Airport and its hub at New York/Newark, starting 2 June 2023. United will be the only airline to offer direct flights between Malaga and the U.S.
The new flight builds on United’s existing nonstop daily year-round services from Madrid and Barcelona to New York/Newark, seasonal services from Madrid and Barcelona to Washington Dulles and from Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca to New York/Newark, as well as a new seasonal service from Barcelona to Chicago O’Hare, which is set to start on 26 May 2023. United will serve a total of five cities in Spain, more than any other U.S. airline, and will be the only U.S. airline serving Malaga, Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca.
“We are excited to announce this further expansion of our route network from Spain to the U.S. and United’s first-ever service from Malaga to New York,” said Antonio de Toro, United Country Sales Manager Spain. “We expect another busy summer for international travel in 2023 and are proud to build on our industry-leading global network to offer our customers in Spain even greater travel choice and the possibility to connect via our U.S. hubs to other destinations across the Americas.”
